The First Road Trip

Dear Billy,

                          How are you? Recently, my mother, brother and I went on a trip in our Benz! It is like a horse carriage but runs on an engine. Benz is my father's latest invention. We went to our grandmother's house. We set off early in the morning.

                          On the way through our journey the pipe was clogged. Although it was a problem but I enjoyed solving it the most. My mother used a hatpin the clean the carburetor. I did not know how my mother could come up with such a brilliant idea.

                            After we had overcome the challange, we carried on with our journey, however the car stopped for a second time. This time the situation was even worse. The ignition cable was completely frayed in one place. However I felt happy and proud of my mother. Again she managed to solve the problem. She reached out under her long skirt and pulled out a garter, and was able to fix the cable.

Finally we arrived at our grandmothers house in the evening. Although we were tired, we enjoyed the trip very much and benifited a wealth of experience from my mother.
