The Space Adventure
While I was with my four best friends at home, I was thinking what I could do during the holidays. I searched on the internet and found an advertisement on going to space for a holiday. I could bring along my friends. I told my friends about it and they said it was a great idea. I discussed about it with my parents and they said that it was a good opportunity to experience space travel. For me, it has been my dream to land my feet on the moon!
Before the trip, we had to impress a bench of judges on why we deserved the trip to the moon. Only five out of one hundred participants were able to go. They looked for leadership skills, health, fitness of our body and our knowledge in science. During the competition, I could not stand a boy who was a great talker but a great liar. After four days of the competition, it was finally time to announce the five lucky participants who could go to the moon! The boastful boy was not chosen because he did not have any leadership skills. My four best friends and I were among the five! My family and friends were as proud as a peacock when they heard the pleasant news.
The following week, the five of us were ready to take off. We boarded the space craft. It was huge! We wore an astronaut outfit. There was an oxygen tank on my back, it was really heavy. After we were all ready, the count down of the rocket started. " 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, Boom!" The fire that came off at the bottom of the rocket was as amazing as a firework. When we were in space, the space craft separated itself from the rocket. It went, "Swoosh!" I saw a constellation of stars through the windows. I took pictures to keep them as a memory. Suddenly, I heard a loud "'Bang! I found out that a meteorite had hit the space craft. Luckily, the officers from the control tower said that it was nothing too serious. Everyone was relieved know that we were safe and sound.
When it was time to eat and drink, I had to drink molecules of orange juice. When my rice and chicken floated in the air, I had to pluck it off the air and eat it! Everybody enjoyed eating in space. Soon our stomach was full and we went to bed. We had to sleep on a verticle bed. I could not sleep comfortably because I was strapped up to prevent myself from floating around.
After three exciting days in space, it was time to come back to earth. I saw my family waiting for me. I was so happy. They were also relieved to have me back in their arms safe and sound.
